Study in Scotland

The Scottish Enlightenment (1750 – 1850) was an exuberant period of creative thinking and innovation.  Robert Adam (architect), Robert Burns (poet), Joseph Black (chemist), David Hume (Philosophy), and James Hutton (Geology) are just a few of the individuals that developed significant theories and inventions that remain a basis for many of their disciplines today. The TCU at Scotland Program is an interdisciplinary program that fosters discovery and explores creative genius. Based in Edinburgh, we visit significant architectural and geological sites as well as museums and stately homes. We also explore extraordinary locations such as the Isle of Iona and the Scottish Highlands. Students of interior design focus upon architecture and interiors including the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

The program fee typically includes dorm style lodging, two meals per day, field trip transportation, and museum fees.
